Dan has over a decade of experience developing and implementing plans for cities and organizations across the Midwest. Projects under his leadership include neighborhood plans, public art master plans, public realm improvement plans, economic recovery strategies, and a single-district parking study. Below is an example of some recent projects he led or supported.

Historic Northeast 2035

A neighborhood plan for the City of Fort Wayne's Historic Northeast Planning Area was adopted in 2024 and is filled with actionable goals and strategies that support desired neighborhood improvements.

Packard 2030

A neighborhood plan for the City of Fort Wayne's Packard Planning Area was adopted in 2023 and is filled with aspirational goals and strategies that are actionable and support neighborhood revitalization efforts.

Downtown Parking Study

Serving as a Plan Advisor for the Van Wert County Foundation and Van Wert Forward, the Downtown Van Wert Parking Study was completed in 2021 and developed by Jones Petrie Rafinski in Fort Wayne.

Art For All Master Plan

Serving as a Plan Advisor and staff administrator for the City of Fort Wayne's Public Art Commission, the Art For All Master Plan was completed in 2020 and developed by the public art planning organization Designing Local in Columbus Ohio.

Public Realm Action Plan

Serving as a Plan Advisor and a staff planner for the City of Fort Wayne, the Public Realm Action Plan was completed in 2020 and developed by Gehl, a public space planning organization based in Copenhagen
